My cats paw pad was swollen and purple for about a week and I had called several vets around the area hoping to be told what to do. They all said to wait and watch it and that if it got worse to take him to an emergency vets office. Well one day it busted open and was bleeding so I was calling around again and the ONLY place I could get into was Akers. Nowhere else seemed to care. I even called places that had “walk in hours” but they weren’t accepting walkins when I call. I called Akers and the lady was very nice to me and told me their hours, their fees and things like that. Not only was it super affordable but they were very kind my entire visit. The wait was a bit long but they were very busy so that was expected. They treated my cat with antibiotics and his paw is already looking better after just 2 days.

So my cat who is 1 yr old has been itching her face hair falling out it got to the point i was debating to put her to sleep bc she was in misery well weve been taking her weekly to get a shot which last like 2 weeks but dr akers still hasnt told us what the problem is

Brought the cat for a walk-in appointment for a lump on her neck. They got her sorted out right away. So when I got a dog, this place was at the top of my list. They've helped get him vaccinated and neutered. Great little local vet, no complaints.

My cat got really sick she couldn't even hardly walk wouldn't eat maybe some water once in awhile so I took her to Dr Akers she couldn't find anything even took blood from my cat came back normal so a few days went by no change so I took her my cat back to Dr Akers again I figured she would take an X-ray because the cats side was hurting her no X-ray said she couldn't find nothing again so I took her to another vet only to find out after an X-ray she had a tumor that was cancer was growing inside of her we finally had to put her down because she was in so much pain and was starting to stumble when she walked iam writing this because we spent alot of money on my cat to only find out from another vet the real reason of what was going on I will never take another animal to Dr Akers
